This weekends KOM hunt

My ususal Saturday ride turned into a nice little KOM hunt. I had my eyes on a few segments and yesterday was the day when I decided to go for it.

The story was simple: put on some of the best Metallica songs and turn the pedals like there is no tomorrow. The recipe worked and managed to have a brilliant spin. Sure, it's nothing special but at least it feels like I had a good and "successful" training spin.  And that's perfectly enough for a Saturday, isn't it?!

Brutal midweek training ride

What an absolutely savage evening I had yesterday. A colleague of mine and myself decided to team up and have a flat out training spin together straight after work.

So, you stick to the plan! Got out of work at 5 pm and turned towards the nearest trails. We got lucky with the weather, just started the spin after a massive rain fall. Nice one!

At the main gate of the Hungarian F1 Track

We put the hammer down hard and ended up with a 2 hours long and almost 40 km training ride. Not too bad after a busy day at work.

The good thing was that the both of us racing mountain bikes for years and there was this healthy "competition" during the spin. We chased and pulled each other for 2 hours. It was brutal...you know the type...the type where you pushing the pedlas so hard that you have no time to look around and no chance to talk too much. Just turn the pedals like there's no tomorrow!

Jaysus, I loved it and I'm sure it wasn't the last time to organize a trainign spin like this. Bring it on!! :)
