I simply love living in the countryside because...

... just a simply thing like visiting the nearest ATM can turn out as a mini mountain bike spin. Nice little 10 km ride after lunch, thank you very much.  :)

Easter MTB Spin

Well, I finally managed to get a proper XC session under my belt this weekend. Hell yes!! What was it like?! It...was...freakin'...FANTASTIC!!!

The weather was super sweet and the trails were awesome. Most of them were fast & dry but we managed to hit some proper muddy sections. There were some walking I'm afraid...

My favourite spot

It was a good 2 hours and 20 minutes ride. The elevation was ok but the main achievement of the day was that I finally felt good on the bike. Had the legs turning and really enjoyed the descents too. I also had company this time, I teamed up with my mate Józsi who is dipping his toes into mountain biking. Fair play mate, it was a good going! Great spin it was, can't wait for the next one!!

Back home: finally the Niner has some signs of mountain biking :)

Oh, and not to forget my little reward! My beautiful and delicious reward. It's Easter after all, isn't it? :)

Long weekend // Part 2

Ok so, change of plan. Although I've had another MTB spin planned for this weekend it turned out to be a differnt ball game altogether.

We went out with the kids and had some nice quality family time together. Then the weather had a drastic change too and as I'm far from being 100% healthy I've decided to skip the ride altogether. Ah well, it happens but I managed to find a way to spend the little free rime I have the way I like it. :)

Long weekend // Part 1

Ohhh yes...the long weekend in March. This 4 days long weekend was the perfect chance to get out and ride my bike. I was absloutely dying to get out for a spin. So, this afternoon I got my act together and slipped out straight after lunch.

I've put the big tyres back on the bike a little while ago and since there was no rain for a few days the choice was straight forward: off-rad session it is!! Luckily I didn't regret my decision, the trails were nice & fine, just perfect for a relaxed MTB spin.

Since I haven't been out for ages I've had hard time on the bike. And riding a single speed was ever more shocking then I thought it would be... I realized quiet quickly that my fitness level is next to zero.

I had only a quick spin around the local trails, nothing special really. But it was fun for sure. It was nice to get the legs turning finally and get up to the hills. I cleared my head also which I kinda needed as well.

So, I'm half way through the long weekend and there's no secret when I say that I have another spin planned also. I hope nothing will cross this plan!! :)
