I'm finally back on the bike!

Wow... the moment when you get back on the bike after a long strech of 6 weeks break and head out for a spin again...absolutely priceless it is!!

I have been off the bike for a good while now due to the fact that we have a new born in the house. But thankfully we are slowly getting into the usual routine and it means things can get back to "normal" as well. So, it was time to dig out the Niner from The Shed and get the legs turning again.

I managed to stay out for a good 2 hours and 30 minutes and to get an almost 55 km long spin in as the first ride of 2016. I got lucky with the weather too, it was a real treat to ride on dry roads and sunshine.

I felt good on the bike I can say, although I hit the wall a bit on the way back home... and as I did I've seen this guy on the side of the road:

...so I pulled my act together! It was one of those moments when you feel like you just seen a sign or something, haha! :)

So, I'm back on the bike. I can't actually beleive it. Feels good. Feels normal. Feels like I can't wait for the next spin already. Bring it on!!

Something different // Dipping my toes into bouldering

Wow! What a great buzz it was! I managed to dig out my old climbing gear and decided to give climbing a quick go. It isn't something totally new, I was climbing in Dublin as well but it was a good 10 years ago or so.

I finished work yesterday and visited a popular bouldering club in Budapest called Monkey Boulder ( http://monkeyboulder.hu/ ). This is a boulder specific place which I liked a lot. Great spot with brilliant walls and superb atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit if you're into bouldering!

Well, needless to say how rusty my climbing skills are after 10 years...but I still had a great time and a savage 2 hours long session. Absolutely loved it and I'm sure it wasn't my last time at the Monkey Boulder. :)
